Saudi Arabia bans import of live birds from Luxembourg

RIYADH, July 17, 2017

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced a temporary ban on the import of live birds, hatching eggs and chicks from Luxembourg.

The ban is based on a warning issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus in Luxembourg, a Saudi Press Agency report said.
