Audi names new Middle East sales director

DUBAI, June 14, 2017

Audi Middle East, a unit of the leading automotive company, has appointed Balbir Dhillon as its sales director in the region.

In his new role, he will directly head the company’s sales business for 11 Middle East markets, said a statement from Audi.

With over 21 years of experience in the automotive industry, he joins the subsidiary following 10 years in India for the Audi and Porsche brands.

Dhillon began his professional career in 1995 and has worked for Honda Cars, TAFE, New Holland and L&T in India.

He joined Audi in 2007 as a regional sales manager, where he was part of the start-up team to establish the brand with four rings in India. In 2012, he was promoted to head the sales division of Porsche, responsible for establishing their sales operations in India.

Dhillon holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India.

Speaking on his appointment, Dhillon said: “I am very much looking forward to my new role after my successful experience in India.”

“The Middle East is a vibrant place for automotive industry, which motivates me to succeed here. Globally, the automotive business is a fast changing environment; digitalisation, vehicle ownership, mobility solutions, electrification and customer relations are at the core of this dynamic,” he said.
