Toyota launches C-HR model in Jordan

AMMAN, August 13, 2017

Markazia, the sole distributor of Toyota, Lexus and Hino trucks in Jordan, has launched the new 2017 Toyota C-HR – or coupé high-rider.

The unveiling took place at Blue Fig in Abdoun, Amman, introducing the innovative C-HR that blends sleek and sculptured design with a responsive drive and outstanding environmental performance, said a statement.

The new C-HR stands out both within the Toyota lineup and in its segment, showcasing sleek coupé-like lines and bearing testament to the resolve of its designers to create an eye-catching style that will establish a new direction and market amongst crossovers, it said.

The Toyota C-HR’s unique character demonstrates the flexibility that the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform offers in the three key areas of design, powertrain and dynamics, delivering a new and fresh take on the increasingly commoditised crossover segment, it added.

Moreover, the C-HR’s airy and harmonious interior is designed to delight the most discerning of customers. Taking luxury and refinement to a new level, the cabin offers an elegant contrast between sensual surfacing and crisp lines to deliver a fresh, relaxed environment. It is complemented by ample storage capabilities, ultra-supportive seats and a dual mode air conditioning system with the available Nanoe ion generator to ensure that occupants are kept in utmost comfort and convenience.

Boasting exceptional stability and handling even at high speeds, the C-HR will be available with a choice of 1.2-liter turbo and 1.8-liter VVT-i full hybrid powertrains, with customers getting to pick from a six-speed manual or automatic CVT transmissions.

In addition, as with any other Toyota model, safety is at the forefront of the C-HR, featuring nine airbags to protect the driver and passengers, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), among many others.

In a short speech during which he revealed the exceptional specs of the car, deputy general manager, Nadim Haddad, said: “Our company always promises to offer the best transportation solutions for all its customers and this new model comes as a part of that promise.”

“The stylish and versatile C-HR aspires to be the progenitor of a new generation of compact crossovers that embody Toyota’s contemporary dynamism and youthful energy. It’s sure to win over customers in Jordan, who can get a first-hand look at the C-HR at our showroom on Mecca Street,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
