The Hotel Show to host architecture seminars

The Hotel Show 2013, an upcoming major three-day conference for the hospitality, hotel and tourism industries in Dubai, will host a variety of networking sessions for architects and developers.

The 14th edition of the event will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 28 to 30.

In line with the vision to bring 20 million visitors per year to Dubai by 2020, remains one of great promise to the city of Dubai and the wider Mena region.

Currently valued in excess of $57 billion for the GCC, the architecture and design industry is strongly supported by the robust growth and development of thousands of hotels within the Mena region, a figure likely to be enhanced by trade shows such as The Hotel Show and the co-located The Leisure Show, a statement said.

The sessions will be held in a lounge created exclusively by Greenline Interiors (ADI lounge), with core people from the industry.

Global Architect Steven Miller, who has more than 49 years’ experience, will be leading a key note speech on Designs of the Future on Day 1 of the show, followed by Jeff Schofield, the architect of Abu Dhabi’s iconic Hyatt Capital Gate hotel and current technical manager at Arabtec who will be hosting an open presentation on Day 2.

Additionally, one of Europe’s most influential interior designers Panton will be hosting a Q&A session, also on Day 2.

A number of panel debates relating to the growth and development of the industry will also be hosted, as the show looks forward to the city’s diverse architectural and construction plans.

Hotel and hospitality developers will benefit from a number of sessions hosted as part of the Vision Conference which will share insight on future developments and opportunities within the Mena region.

In addition to a keynote event with Jeff Strachan from Marriott International on Day 1 on ‘Developing Dubai’s mid-market’, Majid Al Marri, director, Classification, DTCM will hold a session on ‘Structuring for the Future’ as well as a panel debate with speakers from Four Communications, Carlson Rezidor, Accor Middle East and Banyan Tree focused on ‘New tourism trends and new business opportunities’.

Additionally, investors looking for insight or opportunities in other markets such as Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Africa will have the chance to network with senior industry professionals from the leisure and hospitality industry from these markets.
