Forty-eight foreign airlines are presently active in Iran, said the director for public relations office of Civil Aviation Organization (CAO).

“Over the past two years many foreign airlines asked to attend Iran's market and there has been a growing trend; 18 airlines have been added to the market and currently 48 foreign airlines are active here,” Reza Jafarzadeh was quoted as saying by Irna.
