Al Habtoor wins top award for MICE and weddings

DUBAI, July 23, 2017

Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection, which comprises world-class hotels, Dubai’s first-ever St Regis, a flagship W Hotel and a new Westin has been awarded Best Landmark Development of 2017 for MICE & Weddings at the Experiential Venues Awards 2017.

The winners were announced during a gala dinner held recently at the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, where 1000 Brand, MICE, Event and Wedding professionals convened to celebrate the best in the business of events and experiential.

With over 200 hotels nominated across 15 categories, a shortlist of 52 hotels within India and the UAE making it to the second round before the final winners were unveiled. Chaired by Sabbas Joseph, president, EEMA and Director, Wizcraft International, together with Rajeev Kohli, president, Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), the eminent jury of the WOW Awards included 18 leaders of the event and experiential industry.

Experiential Venues Awards recognise and celebrate the best event venues serving the Indian MICE and Weddings market. The awards, now in their ninth edition, are an initiative of EVENTFAQS Media, the country's largest business media platform for the Indian experiential industry, in association with EEMA, the country's apex body for the event and entertainment industry.

KPMG in India were the process advisors and evaluators to the Experiential Venues Awards. After two rounds of voting, KPMG in India compiled all jury scores and averaged the top five scores to arrive at the final winners.
